When I began writing short stories every month, I never expected that one of my ideas would flow into a serialized story the way The Regulars of Amanda Lexie has. I love this story more than I expected to, and I love these characters. They surprised me and intrigued me and, honestly, I’m glad I got to introduce you to them.
As a writer pursuing traditional publication, it is often a long road before I get to actually share my writing with you, my readers. The timeline between finishing a first draft of a novel to landing an agent to landing a publishing contract to actually seeing the book in print can easily take 4-5 years on a fast timeline. For this story, I wanted to put it out there as I wrote it, to lean into the reality of something being published and final, and have content for you to enjoy while we all wait as patiently as we can for my books to come (at some unknown point in the future).
That being said, this series went longer than I expected it to. For ease of reading, I wanted to create a post where you could find each story and read them in order so that you can start from the beginning. Each story picks up where the last left off, so it would benefit you to read from the beginning. This page will automatically update as new parts are posted, so make sure to check back soon!
These are works of flash fiction designed to compile one full story. Due to the suspenseful nature of the plot, I do want to provide you with a few trigger warnings before you dive in.
If this was a TV show or movie, I would rate it TV-14 or PG-13.
Content warnings:
Mentions of death and suicide
Mentions of drugs
Suspenseful situations and threatening circumstances
Mild language
I hope you enjoy!
